Troubleshooting County Automation Issues

If the county automation feature isn’t working as expected, follow this troubleshooting guide to identify and resolve the issue.

1. Check if You Are in the Trial Period

First, ensure that your trial period hasn’t expired. If you’re using the trial version, visit the Trial Version Knowledge Base to verify your trial status and confirm whether you’ve reached the county limit or if your trial has expired.

2. Check if the State and ZIP Code Combination is Valid

County population automation relies on the state and ZIP code combination to determine the county. Ensure that the state and ZIP code values are valid and correctly entered in your records. If the combination is incorrect, county population may not be triggered.

3. Existing Addresses Require the Update County Flag

For existing addresses, simply updating and saving a record will not trigger the county population process. To force the automation to run, you must set the update_county__c field to True for the record. This flag triggers the county population update. For more information on how to update existing records, refer to the Updating Existing Address Records Guide.

Conclusion

If none of the steps above resolve the issue, please contact support for further assistance.
