What is Countif is a nultshell?

Countif automatically populates U.S. county fields based on the ZIP code and state combination for standard Salesforce address fields like billing, shipping, contact mailing, and lead addresses.

Yes, Countif allows you to turn off the automation on certain objects. For example if you dont want to automate counties on contacts, you can do it by navigating to the Custom Settings section and manage the settings on “Activate County Population” settings

Using a bulk update tool like Salesforce Data Loader, you can quickly update thousands of records by marking the “Update County” field as true. First, export the relevant address records, including their IDs and the “Update County” field, to a file. Next, open the file in a spreadsheet editor, update the “Update County” field to true for all applicable rows, and save the changes. Finally, re-upload the modified file using the Data Loader to apply the updates instantly across all selected records.

Start by checking your Countif subscription status in the Installed Packages section of Salesforce. This will tell you if you’re still on a trial or if you have an active subscription. If the trial has expired, you’ll need to contact us to subscribe and restore full access.

If you’re still in the trial period but the automation isn’t working, it’s worth checking if you’ve hit the 100-county limit. This is the maximum allowed during the trial, and once you’ve reached it, the automation will stop. Upgrading to a full subscription will remove this restriction.

For those with an active subscription, if the automation still isn’t working, there might be another issue. Take a look at the troubleshooting steps on this page for the full guidance.

The CountIf app in Salesforce is built to work entirely within the platform, using metadata records to perform its calculations. It doesn’t rely on API calls, which means it runs smoothly and securely without external dependencies. This design ensures efficient performance while keeping everything within the Salesforce environment, making it a reliable choice for managing data and workflows.

Here’s how the flow works: When you enter a state and ZIP code, the system instantly fetches the correct county using metadata stored within Salesforce. Everything happens in real time, so you get accurate results without delays or the need for external lookups. It’s a quick and seamless way to ensure your county information is always correct.
